You Can Teach An Old Cat New Tricks
Not that I'm old. But I've just recently learned the joys of drinking from a glass.
One Day I'll progress to straws!!!
I also recommend ice for summer...

Spot Of The Month - September
This is my Spot Of The Month for September:
Underneath the swing seat in the backyard amongst the long grass.
The grass was cut recently and luckily for everybodys sake it was kept long here. Now I can pretend I'm in the jungle, waiting for an unsuspecting ankle to pass by.
Speaking of cutting - I went to the vets the other day and got my nails cut by a professional. None of this amatuer hacking from the family. I decided against polish and went with just a cut.
Chow.
Mmmm...That reminds me, I think it's time to eat again.

Spot Of The Month - August
I got this house a while ago but have only recently started using it. It's great for the late afternoon sun about 4 o'clock.
My Family didn't say where they got it from but it looks as though it's second hand. It's got my name on the front but I can almost make out another name underneath.
There's a water bowl set up outside so I don't have to go all the way into the kitchen for a drink. Why didn't they think of this sooner?
Don't forget to check My Photo Album.
'Til next time.

When Are You Coming Back?
You never know how long they'll be. Sometimes they're 5 minutes, sometimes they're 5 hours.
Sometimes 5 minutes feels like 5 hours and sometimes 5 hours seems like 5 minutes.
The trick is to sleep while they are away. Tell your friends.
Not much been going on lately. Emma had a birthday the other day. As a present I let her pat me. My winter coat is back (just in time). My Family bought a new blanket for the loungeroom that I really like. And that's about it. Till next time.

Dog Owner Obedience School
I hope there are no dogs reading this. What am I saying? Dogs can't read.
Actually I don't have a problem with dogs. I used to live with one. No, my problem is with dog owners. They're the real nuisance.
Here's my idea:
Dog Owner Obedience School
It would be just like Dog Obedience School but for the dogs owners. The owners would get rewarded everytime they had control of their dog and would get punished for doing the wrong thing, such as saying "Don't worry, he doesn't bite".
At Dog Owner Obedience School the owners would be taught to keep their dogs on a leash while they are being walked instead of allowed to run 10 metres ahead where they can't be properly supervised. I can't tell you how many times I've had to put up with hyperactive dogs out on their Sunday walkies. Let me stress I'm always in my yard when this happens.
This is just one cats opinion. Thanks.
Well apparently some dogs can read:

Winter Is Coming
Winter is coming and I couldn't be happier. I can't stand summer. So I mostly lay around.
Summer was made easier for me this year due to a haircut my Family got me. At first I wasn't too sure about it. Take a look and see for yourself. It was quite drastic.
But now I love it. Why didn't they get me a haircut years ago? I'm already thinking about getting another one next summer. First I have to see how this one grows out though. It's been growing pretty fast...
...but it's been getting colder even faster. I can't believe I'm complaining about being cold!
I overheard Laura and Clayton talking about getting me a little knitted jumper or something for Winter. I hope they were joking. It's hard to tell with those guys sometimes.
There's no way I'd wear clothes!! Clothes belong on people.
Well that's my opinion anyway. Whenever I see a dog or cat wearing clothes I just feel sorry for them. To me it seems like a cry for attention. Hey I'm not blaming the pet, I know it's their Family's fault, but how could you allow yourself to be humiliated like that? If you ever catch me wearing clothes let me know that I've changed.

Humans Make Great Companions
Been a bit bored lately. Sleeping a lot. (I think it's just because of the colder weather coming) I think it's mainly due to the lack of pets around here. Don't get me wrong, humans make great companions, but theres nothing like the company of cats.
There's the dog next door. Not gonna happen. We don't see eye to eye for one. Apart from him there's a ginger cat around the corner who I've yet to see but have heard Laura talk about a few times. He seems nice. It's a bit of a walk though. Let him come to me I say.
See I've only lived in Watsons Bay for about 6 months. Before that I lived in Clovelly for about 8 years. Around the corner from me lived this cat named Minky. Here is a photo of her:
At first we didn't get on but over the years we became pretty close. Well when I say pretty close I mean we tolerated each other instead of spitting every time we would meet. (I used to think Mink had a terrible lisp when I first met her due to all the spitting she would do)
Occasionally we would eat off the same plate. Though not at the same time. Often Mink would come and lay just whiskers away from where I was sleeping. I'd wake up and we'd be right next to each other.
At first it wagged me but over the years it became quite comforting knowing someone else was with you when you were vulnerable. (Safety in numbers and all that)
The last couple of years together I used to look forward to her visits. And now being alone I realise how much I enjoyed her company. I've been thinking about Mink a lot lately. Wondering what she's up to these days. The Family have been around a few times to the old neighbourhood but haven't seen her. I guess she's too busy having fun. I hope she is.

The Unusual Spelling Of My Name
Here's the story behind it:
My Family laid out PIXIE in alphabet noodles. They know how much I adore noodles. I ate the letter E and left the rest. They took this as a sign that I spell my name without an E. So from that moment on they spelled my name PIXI.
What happened was I had just had a whole plate of biscuits only about 10 minutes before and so could only eat one letter. (The E having the most noodle in it. Call me greedy.) I left the other letters for later on when I was hungry again but when I came back the plate was gone.
Anyways, long story short, I got used to the new spelling (even if my vet's secretary couldn't) and embraced the uniqueness of it. I now have it spelled that way on all my ID. "What ID?" I hear you ask. Well this chip on my shoulder for one.
